From these 70 chosen schools, Richard hopes to select 20 promising pianists to benefit from the pianoMan Award Scheme. These 20 will travel to London for a one-on-one lesson with Richard with expenses included in the award. From these 20, five pianoMan Scholars will be chosen to receive a further 10 lessons over a one-year period - once again, all expenses paid.
Blüthner Piano Centre appreciate the opportunity to be involved with an initiative that will inspire young people and allow them "to experience, at first hand, the technical wizardry, the stamina, the dedication, the prodigious feats of memory, the melodic and harmonic genuis, involved in the composition, interpretation and live performance of some of the world's great musical heritage".
