What happens in the first lesson? We find out about you! Our teacher begins by finding out about their new pupils. The piano is probably the most versatile instrument in the world so we begin by finding out about what your musical goals and ambitions are. Through games and exercises we assess musical and pianistic abilities to find the starting point. Hands on from the start, by the end of the first lesson our new pupil has at least one new exercise or piece to practice. Reading music from the start, learning to read music is a journey as learning to read words, the stave is introduced in the first lesson with every pupil.
For Advanced Pupils Our teachers can help you prepare for any examination, audition or performance, working with you to fine tune technique and musical nuance, expanding your memorisation and repertoire. Classical pianists have the chance to develop their skills in Jazz and Popular Music, and Vice Versa.

“I am a great believer in students learning in an enjoyable way and my lessons have always focused on that. I look at every student’s individual abilities and aspirations and then we put together the best step-by-step plan to achieve those. As we work together, I make sure we are flexible enough to constantly reflect their interests as well as taking the right steps to improve.”
In addition to his teaching, Jack also regularly performs across London both as a solo pianist and with a variety of different groups playing a variety of musical styles.
